It is a hidden delight that only a select few know exist. It has been there pampering and pleasing women and men for over eight years.

It is a tiny little spa but it is well worth a visit. It looks like a normal store with large glass windows. When I arrived, the front door was open letting in a fresh breeze. There are two manicure tables and the counter.pediuure

I was warmly greeted by my therapist Mary, who had a gorgeous French accent. I sat down on the only wooden chair for clients. I filled out the form all new clients must complete. Thank goodness this one was tiny compared to the last one I had to fill in from another salon.

As I was seated I noticed there was a row of gorgeous candles on the floor that spanned the length of the hallway. I love this. I exhaled just looking at them.

My treatment today was a Detox-Thalasso Wrap which includes a warm French seaweed that has micronized minerals, vitamins and enzymes that are naturally in the seaweed itself.

I have sensitive skin on my legs and was a bit worried I may get some irritation but I love to try anything new and I haven't had a body treatment for ages so the wrap is was.pediicure

I was led to the treatment room which was small and beautifully lit, almost
romantic. The lighting was dim with candles positioned around the room. There was some very relaxing music playing in the room. I was totally at peace. It was heaven.

Once I got undressed I lay between a plastic sheet and a towel on the the treatment bed. My therapist took a natural bristled brush and exfoliated my skin by brushing it all over. It was sublime. Who knew! peiicure pediure

The French seaweed was applied next. It was very warm and was applied all over my body. I was then wrapped in the plastic sheet all nice and tight. In my mind I thought I am wrapped as snug as a bug in a rug!pedivure

Once I was wrapped I felt tingling in my lower legs, then it started in my upper arms. I was dreading this. The heat from being wrapped up in plastic did not help. I was not going to complain. I was going to sit or lie it through.

Mary then asked if I wanted a face massage. I thought hell yes but said yes please. An eye mask was placed over my eyes and then some warm oil was applied on my face and I was treated to a sublime face massage.

All through it I was doing a quiet jig as my legs were getting itchy. Once the time was up Mary told me to hop in the shower and wash off the seaweed then she will be back to apply the moisturiser.

The shower was equally pleasurable. It was in the corner of the romantically lit room. All that was missing was a bottle of champagne and a man!

I gently washed off the seaweed then used some of the divine herbal body shower gel. There were quite a few small bottles there and I thought maybe I should take them. I actually scanned the room thinking what herbal treatments can I pocket. But then I came to my senses. Better to be good then bad in this instance. I can make up for it later!

I finished my shower and towelled off with a wonderfully plush towel. I checked the label to see where it was from maybe I could find it. I thought maybe it's Egyptian Cotton or maybe made in France. I was wrong. It was made in China!

Once I finished I let Mary in and she applied the moisturiser. I thought it would be a cream or maybe an oil but it was a body spray. It was actually the Dry Oil Body Moisturizer from Pevonia Botanica to be exact. It smells like the most beautiful flower garden in the world. It went on dry, no stickiness.

I had a smile on my face from start to finish. I am sure my therapist was thinking, 'What is she on' but I assure I was on nothing but pure happiness from having such a wonderful treatment.

The only complaint I have of You Day Spa is that it was too short. It was over before it began.

The staff were all wonderful. My therapist Mary was incredibly good, she had such soft hands and her lovely soft French accent was wonderful.

I booked my treatment at You Day Spa after a day of meetings. It is in a perfect location and so easy to get to. It's great when the salons are open late.

I would highly recommend this spa to anyone. It was such a treat.
