There are many ways in which you can advertise your new business. Your business cards can be left in hair salons (one's that don't do nails), boutiques, gift shops, Laundromats or any other place you deem appropriate. You could place flyers on bulletin boards in different locations.
Network with other parents, friends, acquaintances, former co-workers, family, and anyone else you can think of. Before long you will have enough clients to keep you busy and they will recommend you to there friends and so on.
As a traveling manicure service you will need to find a convenient way to carry your supplies to your client's home. Your supplies will consist of but are not limited to; manicure tools, polish colors, nail polish remover, receipt and appointment books, small towels and cotton balls.
Having a traveling manicure service is not for everyone, however, there are some benefits for the clients. Your customer may enjoy having you come to their home and when you come to their home they do not have to risk damaging their freshly manicured nails while driving home.
Although technically providing this service and traveling you are not considered a Wahm, you will also have several benefits. First, there are less people coming into your home each day, secondly, your mileage can be used as a tax write-off (be sure to keep a record of how much traveling you do for your business). And thirdly, working from home can sometimes feel isolating, getting out of the house will help to prevent that feeling.
Having your own manicure service is a great way for you to do something that you love and be able to work from home at the same time.
